How Did You Start Using Your Talents?

As a child growing up in the West African nation of Cameroon, Nicoline loved to read. “I believe that reading can remove anyone from any circumstance,” Dr. Ambe says. She visited libraries and embassies to research scholarships and sold her crochet creations to pay to submit dozens of college applications.

The Most Impactful Turning Point?

Proving her belief in the life-changing power of reading, Nicoline came to Canada and the U.S. on scholarships and earned her undergraduate degree, two master’s degrees and a doctorate, entirely on scholarships.
