His passion for “doing stuff that matters” has taken him to the Olympics, MTV, and several national media outlets.
How Did You Start Using Your Talents?
“I happen be a big kid. I’m 39 years old, with two sons, ages eight and five.” After several lay-offs from responsible technology jobs, Bolaji pursued his passion: working with kids, harnessing their imaginations in play that helps them “find that thing that lights them up inside and builds their confidence.”
The Most Impactful Turning Point?
Finding the courage to risk leaving a successful technology career built on an Emory University MBA degree and launch a creative enterprise “helping kids discover their super powers” led Bolaji to a life in which he wakes up with a smile every morning and dreams of becoming the next Walt Disney.
The Most Powerful Lessons Learned?
“I didn’t go to top schools to learn to make comic books or write about super heroes. Both my parents are medical doctors who lifted our family out of poverty in Nigeria. I actually enjoyed my corporate career and was good at it, but I never really felt fulfilled until now.”
