How Did You Start Using Your Talents?
“I have been drawing and painting my whole life,” Alex recalls. His uncle, a photographer and mentor, bought him an Apple 7300 in 1997. He learned PhotoShop and Illustrator, and realized, “Wow! I can take my creative talents, make stuff in PhotoShop, and make money on it!”

Alex got online in 2000, designing web pages. At his first job, he quickly learned about internet marketing, developing landing pages that drove traffic from email marketing to websites. Simultaneously he began freelancing and soon was #1 in Google for the keyword term, “landing page design.” “I got a lot of work from that.”

“Success has a lot to do with mindset. What you think about consistently is going to happen. So try to be intentional with your thoughts. Try to weed out those bad habits of thought and self-doubt. I still get those every day and have to remind myself to be intentional.”
